THE APPLICATION OF PHOTON ATTENUATION IN THE PROCESS TO DETERMINE THE LINEAR ATTENUATION COEFFICIENT OF STAINLESS STEEL AND CARBON STEEL
The experiment was made to study the gamma-rays attenuation for materials. A sealed Co-60 (12mCi) and cs-137 (20mCi) were used. The measurements performed using a gamma spectrometer that contains an NaI(Tl) detector and the energies of sources are at 662,1173 and 1332 keV.
