These techniqueshave extended beyond previous technology in fragile watermarking by providing a high capacity, reversible authentication service for medical images. SAW-JPEG demonstrates a technique to embed information in the LSB (Least Significant Bits) that can survive JPEG quantization process while AW-TDRs able to validate the source of the image, verify its integrity and when the integrity verification fails, determine the altered image regions. AW-TDR has overcome security problems associated with previous independent block-based authentication watermarks, while retaining their tamper localisation properties. Its algorithm has been shown to provide security againts vector-quantization (collage) counterfeiting attacks and accurate localisation of altered image regions
