This book was produced in an effort to preserve the heritage of high aesthetic values for future generations. This is due to the use of flora that has been adapted from nature. Nature is the source of the idea to give birth to the design of stone staircase tiles of Melaka houses. In addition, the publication of this book will also explain the origin and values contained in the design as well as explain the stages of life in the Malay community. Aesthetic values that exist and give certain meanings in the life of the Malacca Malay community. In order to preserve the national treasure heritage, the Melaka state government through the Melaka Museum Corporation (PERZIM} has taken steps to preserve and maintain the authenticity value found in the ceramic design of the staircase.
