Corporate compliance refers to having internal policies and procedures that are designed to prevent and detect violations of applicable law, regulations, rules and ethical standards by employees, agents and others. In the business world, compliance is the adherence to laws, standards, and internal rules of behavior. For companies, compliance management is the key instrument for ensuring law-abidance and is therefore a vital component of good, diligent management.
