This book also reveals to parents the possible medical problems that children with Down syndrome will experience as well as the clinical tests that they should undergo. This is so that parents know the risk of their child instead of seeking treatment after there are complications. The notion that Down syndrome babies have mental retardation needs to be changed. Through the tests and examinations carried out, some problems can be reduced with the help of doctors, speech rehabilitation officers, audiologists, occupational therapists, kindergarten teachers and school teachers. The most important thing is that this special child can grow up well and perfectly with care and sincere love from the family, especially the parents.
