 The debate regarding equality and sharing of values between religions is identified as starting to receive the attention of various parties at the end of the 20th century with the signing of the Declaration towards a Global Ethics. It was presented in the conference of the Parliament of World Religions in 1993 as a result of the efforts of Hans Kung, a theological figure and supporter of inter-religious dialogue who played a role in drafting this declaration and popularizing it to the public. In line with the development of globalization, the related discourse began to gain a place in the dialogue between religions and became the subject of debate in conferences between civilizations involving various world bodies and international institutions. This book examines the core that underlies the idea of global ethics, examines the background of Hans Küng's thought as a figure who pioneered and developed this idea and then elaborates the Islamic perspective on this idea by comparing the Islamic view with Küng's view with a specific study of some of its main cores
