 Heresy refers to practices or beliefs that are fabricated against the Quran, as-Sunnah, ijmak and qiyas. It also refers to practices that are contrary to what the early generations of Muslims or their salaf generation did. Some say that heresy is all new when only new things in religious practice are considered heretical. Some say that a practice is considered heretical only in other madhhabs and not madhhab Syafie. Apparently, the scholars of madhhab Syafie also say that it is a heretical practice. Some say that the practice is not heretical because there is a scientific argument when scientifically the practice is indeed heretical. The argument that says it is not heretical is a less scientific argument. This disclosure is not to mislead Muslims in Malaysia, but rather this exposure in order to cultivate a culture of practice with knowledge and not follow-up. For the sake of sahih practice according to the sunnah of Rasullullah s.a.w.
