Summary: | This book outlines the work of UTM for the year 2019. It presents some basic things that need the attention of all citizens in the success of UTM's planning for 2019 and the years to come. Various initiatives, action plans and Key Performance Indices, as well as the UTM Global Plan (2012-2020) are the main references. UTM has also begun to move the preparation of a new plan, namely enVision UTM 2025. UTM's main agenda is organized according to 6 Key Focus Areas, in addition to the special agenda of UTM Kuala Lumpur campus. We are confident that UTM is able to mobilize all its strength and resources to implement all the agendas that we have outlined together. Through this approach, the involvement of UTM citizens is almost comprehensive through town hall sessions, refined at the management level, and endorsed by the University Board of Directors. We should have a sense of belonging, togetherness and inclusiveness in pursuing this agenda wisely. Furthermore, the higher education sector is currently squeezed by clashes between four stakeholders, namely the state and politics, the economy and industry, digital technology, as well as students and parents. With unity of thought, strategic action and synergy, the people of UTM are able to give their best contribution in the success of this action plan to elevate the university for the sake of God for Mankind. |
