 The environmental turmoil is becoming more and more acute! Many leaders, scientists, thinkers, public figures, and activists acknowledge the fact that the environment is becoming increasingly polluted and increasingly endangering human life. Climate change, rising earth temperatures, weather uncertainties, rising sea levels, dumping of rubbish, cross-border haze, destruction of forests, river pollution, etc. Following this, almost all countries around the world agreed to sign the 2015 Paris Agreement aimed at implementing sustainable development in an effort to change development procedures to be more environmentally friendly. In fact, many countries have declared Climate Emergency and banned the use of fossil fuels by 2030. So, what drastic action should every citizen of the world, including Muslims, take? Is the practice of preserving the earth covered in the framework of worship and the demands of faith? 40 Hadith on Preservation of the Environment presents principles and practices understood from 40 sahih and hasan hadiths selected. The author describes the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH in the context of contemporary environmental preservation in terms of tawhid, fiqh, and tasawuf blended with scientific facts and empirical studies.
