The increase in interest is also due to the emergence of a new awareness that firm action must be taken to protect and defend the wisdom, history, memory, history and common sense in the archipelago manuscripts as our country faces the currents of westernization, Europeanization, Americanization, and globalization. The main theme of the MANASSA seminar held at Bima on 26-29 July 2009 which paid special attention to the topic of Local Wisdom Contained in the Old Manuscript is also because we find that more and more people have received value from western countries, in addition to importing standards from western countries , even migrating to western countries on the one hand, while we also find highlighting local wisdom in our culture is a practical way of defending our image and identity on the other hand. This is not because the indigenous values of the archipelago are higher than those in western countries, but what we inherit and have is unique. It is the uniqueness of the culture that makes us different from other races. In other words, local wisdom in our culture, including rituals, music, literature, language, art, and carpentry is what has shaped our image and identity over the years.
