The 71 letters presented in this volume are unique as they argue the contrasting positions on terrorism, globalisation, economic and diplomatic relations, as well as wars and conflicts. The correspondence presents a less-than-ideal world for the reader to inhabit. The correspondents-Dr Mahathir, Tony Blair, Margaret Thatcher, George W. Bush, Jacques Chirac and Prince Charles, among others -were transparent, solid, informative, and sometimes robust. Dr Mahathir writes directly, in his own distinctive voice and style.
