Summary:This study was carried out to introduce the new ideas of quantum well in semiconductor structures regarding the effect of controlling the layer thickness in quantum well heterostructure by considering the one dimensional single quantom well model with differenr well width. The objectives of this study were to model the waze function for both infinate and finite square well optical transition energy and probality transition. The final result obtained has been compared to the practical model.
