Summary:The optical properties of PVK : PMMA that are containing the composition of PVK in 90%, 80 % and 50% are reported by using UV-vis spectrophotometer. The optical result obtained were analyzed in terms of the absorption formula for amorphous semiconductor. The absorption coefficient, and energy band gap have been obtained from direct and indirect allowed transitions in k-space at room temperature.
