Summary: | The book was written to facilitate those of you who wish to consolidate your knowledge of the expanding literature in clinical periodontics. The book should be of particular help if you have difficulties in finding sufficient time to read the articles in the scientific journals. Also, if you feel uncertain that you are sufficiently up-dated. The book is a compilation of pertinent clinical studies. It outlines what is known and not known about current periodontal therapies in the light of available scientific data. The book covers a sufficient number of studies in order to determine expected results of different therapies. Each review is accompanied with comments of the author. Each section of the book gives the conclusions that can be drawn, as well as the limitations of the available research for that topic. There were 272 pages in the 1st edition. The 2nd edition has 503 pages. The increase is due to expansion in the number of pertinent studies and to the inclusion of 6 additional sections in the 2nd edition |
