This has emphasised the need to redesign the education system and transform the learning and teaching delivery as well as demanded the industry sectors to enhance, reskill and upscale talents. Hence, the issue of talent planning is critical to ensure Malaysia's preparation in producing talents/graduates who are agile and adaptive to the changing demands of the 4IR. Experiential learning, future-ready curriculum and lifelong learning mind-set are critical elements in uplifting the graduates' skills and attributes to thrive in the gig economy world. The book illustrates that regardless of technology advancement and changes, graduates will be able to overcome the disruptive innovation through lifelong learning which creates the opportunities to learn, unlearn and relearn. In meeting the demands of evolving jobs, Malaysian graduates have to possess strong positive values and be work-ready to stay ahead in the global marketplace and contribute to the global well-being. "Framing Malaysian Higher Education 4.0: Future-Proof Talents" encapsulates the way forward for the higher education sector in adapting to the ever-changing demands in higher education. It frames 4 foci, 15 approaches with detailed initiatives as well as 3 future-proof attributes and 9 Malaysian future-proof skill sets in unlocking the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (Higher Education). |
