520 | # | # | |a This study has involved development of an approach to studying the prospects of, and impediments to, Australian tree species in the Philippines which is considered to have applicability to other forest technology transfer studies. In particular, the yield and financial modelling approaches under sparse data, assessment of adoption prospects for the various sectors of forest production, and analysis of prospects and impediments may be of interest to a wider audience. Due to the contributions of various people in this study, this report has been prepared as a series of co-authored chapters. These chapters follow the sequence: background issues (ACIAR silvicultural research, the critical need for reforestation, and forestry systems in the Philippines), yield and financial modelling, progress and impediments to Australian species, and a synthesis of future prospects. |
