 The five volumes of Essential Oils Handbook form a complete treatise on essential oils. Vol. I deals with Chemistry, its origin and function of essential oils in plant life, flavour and fragrances, production of essential oils, design of equipment for essential oils, determination of physical, chemical and odour properties, detection of adulterants in essential oils, project profiles for manufacture of essential oils, and uses and storage. (527pp) Vol. II is about the constituents of essential oils - hydrocarbon and their derivatives, alcohols, aldehydes, ketone, phenols, acids, esters, lactones, coumarins and coumarones, furian derivatives and oxides, terpenes, sesquiterpenes and derivatives of unknown constitution.
