A computer simulation program is devised and validated through traction tests on soft padi soil. The analysis examines the impact of center of gravity position, track dimensions, machine weight, and soil properties on MALTRAK's tractive performance. It suggests that in soft padi soil, a lighter machine with a centered center of gravity and appropriately sized tracks is optimal, allowing for increased soil thrust without risking bogging down. The depth of track sinkage emerges as a critical factor influencing soil thrusts and, consequently, MALTRAK's tractive performance on soft padi soil.
