Description
Summary:This study examines the sources of growth in padi production in Peninsular Malaysia, focusing on production stability and constraints in major irrigation areas which is MADA, KADA, Tanjong Karang and Kerian. Despite past achievements in production, concerns have been raised about stagnant growth and insufficient improvement in farmer incomes. The study aims to better understand production dynamics and develop a monitoring procedure to track production situations and trends at different levels of operation within irrigation schemes. This will provide a basis for addressing related issues of farmer income and poverty eradication in future studies.
