Summary:Cameron Higlands which covers an area of 712 kmis located on the main range of Peninsular Malaysia with the elevation of 900-1 550 m above sea level (ASL). Vegetables, ornamentals and tea are the main crops cultivated in this highland area. The area under fruit cultivations is small, about 216 ha. With the rapid expansion of agriculture in the highlands and the need to conserve soil erosion, fruit cultivation would be more suitable on the hilly terrains. At present, citrus is the main fruit crop of the highlands.
