Description
Summary:This study assessed the quality of padi across five major growing areas and six government LPN complexes, focusing on factors like immatured grain, foreign matter, moisture content, and grain damage. Results indicated no significant differences in padi quality among growing areas or LPN complexes, but harvesting during the wet season increased moisture content and foreign impurities compared to the dry season. Variation in bulk density, immatured grain, and milling recovery was noted at the complex level, with better quality observed at the season's outset. Additionally, padi grown via direct seeding and mechanically harvested tended to affect grain quality.
