 This book describes the process of outcome-based education (OBE) including the implementation, assessments and evaluations of students learning outcomes and program objectives. The process of developing a course syllabus within a curriculum and its linkage to the program outcomes and objectives are described and illustrated through examples. The methods of course delivery and the tools of assessments of the course learning outcomes are described through examples. The steps for assessments and evaluations of program outcomes and program objectives are described and illustrated. The criterion for assessing the OBE process itself is also described. The national and cultural influences on the OBE are described and illustrated in the book are, general, in nature and can be applied to any engineering and non-engineering program.
