Summary:This book is a response to the needs that the author has perceived in classrooms after teaching for more than seventeen years and after doing several years of research related to the teaching and learning of mathematics. It begins by exploring the nature of mathematics; defining mathematics anxiety, its prevalence and myths; the causes and possible ways of conquering mathematics anxiety. At the end of the book, nineteen perceptions of students on learning mathematics, particularly Calculus and a collection of real life situations of students who came to the author for advice and guidance are presented.
