It provides a framework for the regulation of the relationship between employers and employees, including trade unions, collective bargaining, and dispute resolution. The following are the key provisions of the Industrial Relations Act 1967 (Act 177) as amended by the Industrial Relations (Amendment) Act 2020: Recognition of trade unions: The Industrial Relations Act 1967 (Act 177) provides for the recognition of trade unions by employers. Employers are required to recognize trade unions that have satisfied the requirements for registration under the Trade Unions Act 1959. Collective bargaining: The Industrial Relations Act 1967 (Act 177) requires employers to engage in collective bargaining with trade unions that represent their employees.
