The rise of dakwah and the symbiotic Islamic movement in Malaysia usually refers to the development of ABIM and PAS which emerged as the leading dakwah or Islamic movements. ABIM and PAS's book in Gerakan Dakwah Islam di Di Malaysia records the dynamism of both Islamic movements that made dakwah the motor of their revival. Despite sharing a number of things on the basis of ideology and historical ties, these two movements differ in understanding and implementing da'wah.
