Summary: | This book focuses on the thinking of one of the leaders of Islam in the Islamic world, namely Muhammad Rashid Rida. He is one of the figures who played an important role in the reconciliation of the ummah when the Islamic Caliphate was on the verge of collapse and after its collapse. The instability of the Islamic government occurred when the Ottoman Empire, which had been acting as the protector of the Muslim Ummah, began to falter and officially collapsed in 1924. The upheaval that occurred at that time not only affected the politics of the Muslims, but also affected their economy, education and morals. . The rise of the West that colonized the Islamic world one by one has made the existing crisis worse. It was in this situation that Muhammad Rashid Rida rose up to present his idea of reform. He has gone through a journey full of difficulties in carrying out his ambitions to correct the flaws that happened at that time. However, all those hardships were overcome in order to restore the glory of Islamic civilization that had been lost. Although his efforts were less successful from an outward point of view, he has succeeded in awakening and making Muslims aware of the weaknesses and realities they are facing. Hopefully this book can be a pebcetus of the mind and nourish the soul of the struggle. |
