Description
Summary:The implementation of routine performance appraisals has been acknowledged as proving various problems in the organization. As a result, members of the organization accept the implementation of this function with full prejudice. To them, the implementation of performance appraisal is accepted as an annual tradition practice done dishonestly. The final effects of its implementation were found to continue to nurture feelings of dissatisfaction, frustration, conflict, anxiety and depression. This is because its implementation continues to be shrouded in human error which has prompted managers to manipulate as well as deny justice during the implementation of performance appraisal. Recognizing the shortcomings that occur, an approach based on Islamic teachings needs to be explored in place of the usual approach. The Islamic approach is believed to be more concrete in the form of policies, programs and strategies. Islam sees a solution to this problem as a whole by presenting the universal universal values of Islam that need to be realized for the well-being of members. Among the universal universal values found relevant to the implementation of performance appraisal include justice, trust, brotherhood, accountability and moderation. Managers who act as evaluators should realize these values because they are always bound by retribution from Allah SWT. Thus, the immediate actions and decisions taken will always be based on morals and the decisions taken will always be based on Islamic morals by freeing themselves from any form of misconduct during the implementation of performance appraisal.
