Item Description: | "Most of our Cathedrals and Abbey Churches were built during the Middle Ages. In the years following the Norman Conquest a huge rebuilding programme started which continued through the next four centuries. The style slowly evolved from Norman into Early English, Decorated, and, in the middle of the fourteenth century, Perpendicular. This film traces the stylistic development of Medieval cathedrals and abbeys and explains some of the structural techniques employed in their construction."--Container |
