Description
Summary:Ethnic Relations course has been introduced at public institutions of higher learning in the country since 2005. To accommodate the needs of the students, a module was published with the aim of exposing them to basic titles covering various fields such as constitution, politics, economy, religion and education. In line with our promise to continuously repair the module for this course continuously and periodically, based on current developments as well as feedback from various parties, especially lecturers and students, we decided to publish this new book. This book differs from previous modules in terms of concepts, orientation and content. If in the previous module, the conceptual framework is based on the paragima of conflicts, but in the book herein the conceptual framework is based on the paradigraph of social coincidence as an alternative approach to seeing ethnic relations in Malaysia and the complexities that exist in it. The book focuses not only on the concept of authority definition, but also daily definitions. Thus, discussions are not only focused on policy collections and measures assigned by the government in order to achieve unity and unity, but also display how people at the grassroots level interact in a variety of daily activities. This means that the pattern of ethnic relations in the country is discussed from a perspective to provide a more comprehensive picture of the sociopolitical realities that exist in the country. The book tries to avoid some of the weaknesses contained in the previous module in terms of procurement of significant facts and titles as well as the level of reading, delivery and processing of materials. This module does not claim to be a definitive, detailed and comprehensive text, but more as stimulus material for students to continue to explore various boundaries of knowledge that are likely to relate to ethnic relations in the country. It is hoped that the students can make discussion materials in this book to think about and examine important issues and matters in relation to ethnic relations because ethnic relations are part of our daily lives and experiences.
