The essential category of Islamic law subsumes five values that the Shariah aims to protect at all times. These values are life, intellect, religion, lineage and Therefore, any branch of knowledge that has the objective to safeguard these five values is considered, in Islam, as useful and beneficial knowledge, property The nobility of safeguarding lives, which is an essential part of the Islamic law (al-Shari'ah al-Islamiyyah), is derived from the Holy Qur'an (Abdullah Yusuf Ali).
