Molly Sweeney
Molly, who is blind, meets and marries Frank, an out-of-work farmer. Frank becomes her hope for gaining the one gift that she is longing for, the gift of sight. He persuades a once-brilliant ophthalmologist, now living in obscure existence, to try and restore Molly's vision.
