 The culture and customs of the palace of the Sultanate of Johor are the results of the mixing and blending of Malay culture, Islam, and the West inherited from the heyday of the Johor empire to the dynasty Treasurer and Temenggong dynasty until now. Sultan Abu Bakar introduced and added Western culture, especially English as an innovation to make the state of Johor a modern state. Therefore, now the Sultanate of Johor is very concerned about the people, and the customary behavior does not make it difficult for the people as much as possible. The way to show respect for men and women is simple. The way of dressing honors the freedom of race and ethnicity. Prohibition colors are set aside so that there is no difference between the king and the people. Islamic elements and culture are maintained, such as reciting prayers asking for Allah's blessings and protection before and after the ceremony and swearing-in Islam.
