Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah is one of the earliest Malay women who became a medical doctor in Malaysia. With the profession, he has achieved his own success and has created extensive experiences as a government medical officer beginning in the mid-1950s. She married Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed in August 1956. In 1979 Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamed was appointed Deputy Prime Minister. As the wife of a Deputy Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Siti Hasmah realized how important her husband's job was and how important her job as a wife was. to always be by her husband's side.
