The main focus of Civilization and Racism in Malaysia: Malay-Chinese Ethnic Relations is to analyze and evaluate the causes of conflict between ethnic Malays and ethnic Chinese in the process of nation-building in Malaysia from new angles, perspectives of civilization. This refers to the two main values embedded in civilization and culture known as the core values and core pillars. To foster unity between ethnic Malays and ethnic Chinese is not easy because each born with inherited culture and civilization clash. The gap that separates the relations between the two ethnicities may be reduced and cooperation can be fostered if all parties are willing to tolerate and understand their respective positions through history. |
