First, the very order in which the topics are sequenced in the book is a reflection of the steps students go through in mastering the concepts of calculus. Second, the book is written with much care to convey the concepts with a minimum of confusion. Although careful writing cannot make any tough course easy, it does help to remove unnecessary obstacles to understanding. Third, there are plentiful of carefully worked examples to help any student successfully learn to use the formulas and understands the underlying concepts. These examples have all been solved by the authors to make sure that they are clearly worded, their computations are not gratuitous, and they help students to learn with understanding.
