They succeeded in obtaining authentic and first hand informations and secrets of the traditional foods preparation from their correspondents. Unique signature dishes have to be prepared strictly as demonstrated otherwise their tastes would be deemed distorted and unoriginal. The correspondents consist of elders and Adat Perpatih officials who are knowledgeable and still serve the traditional menus in their homes and for official and Adat functions. Their recipes include daily meals, dishes for festive occasions and special dishes for cultural and ritual ceremonies.
