Description
Summary:This book has been prepared according to the syllabus of Medical Council of India for the first professional MBBS students. All the experiments in the manual have been covered in the four sections. While due attention has been given to the- content, the book has been kept relatively compact. Emphasis has been given to the non-invasive human experiments to make them more clinical and interesting for the students. The book provides ideal and original graphs for the purpose of analysis by the students so that they can understand the basic aspects of clinical science clearly and succinctly. The photographs of equipment used in amphibian experiments are given to make the students familiar with them. The graphs included in the book have been prepared to make them scientifically more accurate. Most of the graphs included in the book were recorded on the Polyrite or student physiograph, showing far better graphs as compared to the records on simple kymograph. The colour photographs of the postures and methods to elicit the stretch reflexes are given in human experiments so that the students can easily understand the procedure to elicit these reflexes. Because of this fact the book may be helpful to the 3rd and 4th year MBBS students also for clinical examination of the patients. The practicals given in the section on mammalian experiments are basically the postgraduate practicals but these experiments may be kept for demonstration to the undergraduate students
