This is the face of the latest book published by the Malaysian Press Institute (MPI). This book is a collection of the best works of the Malaysian Journalism Prize (HKM) between 1980 and 2011. More precisely, the book titled Uncovering Distortion, Finding the Truth contains 19 works by Kajai Award winners throughout that period. The first winner of the Kajai Award, which was introduced in 1982, was Rosnah Majid, a journalist from Utusan Malaysia. Since then, 22 other journalists have been crowned with the award making the total number 23. They represent 7 news organizations. The number of winners exceeded the number of works because as many as three times, the winning works were produced by two journalists. Only the work of Noraini Nordin, winner of the 1989 Kajai Award, is not listed in this book. This is because his work cannot be found, either in the National Archives or in some other libraries. Noraini herself no longer keeps copies of her work. Karangkraf, which published the Watan newspaper at that time, also did not keep the old collection of the newspaper.
