 For 2007, the theme is Strategic Leadership Sustainability Empowering Academic Excellence. This is because when I was inspired to write this book, I looked back to see what actually became the success factor of UiTM. I found, one factor that cannot be ignored is the strength of the leadership mind. It is not only the leadership that leads this university, but the strength of the country's leadership. How those previous ones have succeeded in translating the nation's vision and hopes as best as possible. Therefore, to ensure that the excellence of this university is strengthened, I believe that we need to ensure that leadership at the internal level of the university regardless of level needs to be strategic not only from the aspect of thinking but also from the aspect of practice and behavior. We need to be aware of the environment. challenges and opportunities that exist. When we talk about excellence. for this year 2007, excellence will take into account the quality aspect of results, both graduates, research, innovation and publications, consulting and even the results of student activities. This is to prepare us for the rating aspect that we will face in the near future. This book was also inspired by YAB the Prime Minister who wants us to carry out a stock-take of what we have already implemented as well as study the suitability of the university curriculum in order to guarantee the quality of the graduates that will be produced.
