Lee Tan Luck was born in 1955 in Pekan Jabi, Segamat, Johor. Obtained secondary education at Seg Hwa Secondary School (JK), Segamat, Johor (1967-1972); Tunku Durah National Secondary School, Seremban (Further Education Class 1974 75); Language Teaching College, Lembah Pantai, Kuala Lumpur (1977 79). Served as an educator in several secondary schools around the district of Segamat, Johor. He then continued his studies at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang until obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in literature and Political Science (1990). He then resumed his duties as a teacher of Malay Language and Malay Literature in two secondary schools in Segamat, Johor. He continued his studies at the Master's (M.Ed) level in Educational Management and Administration at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor until obtaining a master's degree in 2000. He is currently working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Business Management, MARA University of Technology, Johor.
