Description
Summary:Techniques in Valvular Heart Surgery is a textbook in the area of valvular heart surgery, a superspecialty subject. The book clearly describes the special technical steps of operation for heart valve surgery. A book of this nature which concentrates only on one aspect of heart surgery is not available. Books on heart surgery techniques describe only a few of the procedures stepwise. However, this book describes all surgical procedures for all human heart valve diseases. Some of these techniques have not been described in any textbook so far. These special techniques have evolved only at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, and in the author s experience. The book has a descriptive text interspersed with colour photographs and line drawings illustrating the photographs. The text has been well supplemented by a DVD Rom containing video clips of the selected surgical procedures. The book is useful for students of cardiovascular surgery, cardiothoracic surgeons, medical college libraries, and industries which produce products for these operations
