It is also suitable for those who are studying independently or through the open-learning system. Each chapter begins with learning objectives that guide students to understand the content of each chapter. This books explains the process of classifying, recording and summarising of business transactions. Students who do not possess previous accounting knowledge will learn the recording process gradually from this book. Students will be shown on the steps taken to classify and record transactions in the correct journals and ledger accounts. They will also learn how to summarise the information in the trial balance and prepare the final accounts. At the same time, students are exposed to the interpretation of accounting and preparation of bank reconciliation statement. Examples are given to illustrate the applications of the concepts or principles in order to enhance the understanding of the topics. At the end of each chapter there is a glossary to explain the terms used and questions for students to practise. |
