Description
Summary:Analytical Malays National Struggle: NATIONALISM IN THE STATE OF NINE - In rhetoric highlight leadership in pre-independence period, not just specifically in Negeri Sembilan, but accounted for the struggle of the Malays in the country for their dedication to oppose the hegemony of colonial powers. The contributions of the fighters involved also cover the grassroots of both the elite and the proletariat; whether highly educated scholars or at the 'roof school' level or whether educated in English schools or just hut studies in the villages. Negeri Sembilan has also produced many national leaders at the nationalist movement since the 1940s, but their greatness seems to have been forgotten by their generation. Thus the writing of this book brings a new approach to commemorate their contributions, including the involvement of the royal family in Negeri Sembilan against the colonialists in the pre-independence period. Based on the author's study on his capacity as a customary, cultural and historical researcher to the Negeri Sembilan Museum Cultural Research Committee (1990-2003) chaired by Dato 'Seri Utama Tan Sri Abdul Samad Idris (Allayarham), many implicit and explicit are expressed in the writing of this book . May the description of writing this book bring awareness to the younger generation on the historical value of the independence struggle that needs to be triggered by the leadership of the past and the continuity of the current leadership for the leadership of the future.
