In this Act the 'words include pictures. visual images, gestures, and other methods of signifying meaning Defamation Act 1957 came into force to Sabah and Sarawak only on 6 May 1965. Slander under Act 286 includes, slander of women, slander affecting official, professional or business reputation and slander of title. Slander is defamation for words spoken and libel is for words written (published). This publication is a combined edition of the English and Bahasa Malaysia version of Act 286. |
