Summary: | Guli-Guli is that wondefully rare creative inspiration: a brilliant social and political satire crafted as a cartoon strip. Through three main characters, its creator Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Lim Kok wing sketches instances of human foibles which all of us will recognise in ourselves. His incisive observations prick the bubles of those too full of their own importance as much as they prick the conscience of those indifferent to the needs of the unfortunate. The cartoons appeared regularly in the New Sunday Times over five years and were featured on billboards promoting racial goodwill, courtesy and good behaviour. A historical piece of creative Malaysia not to be missed. |
