Description
Summary:Language is something systematic and regulated. From the point of view of linguistics. the rules that govern the linguistic system are known as nahu or grammar. Language is also a living entity that is constantly evolving along with the progress and improvement of the human civilization of its speakers. This development makes the language more complex and complex. Research should be done continuously so that the description is contemporary and current. The existing Nahu Malay is found to be prescriptive and consider forms that do not conform to the general pattern as violating the rules of Nahu, even though its use is very extensive and very productive. This approach is contrary to the discipline of linguistics as a scientific field that is concerned with objectivity. Practical knowledge is a descriptive knowledge that describes linguistic systems and rules based on the actual use of language as practiced by speakers in various contexts and writing discourses. Practical analysis is based on computerized corpus data that is contemporary and authentic in nature. Practical Nahu can be considered user-friendly because the description of Nahu is based on natural language which is the custom of the majority of users. Apart from being descriptive, practical knowledge also explains cognitive behavior theoretically by using an elective approach that applies several current linguistic theories such as generative theory, cognitive semantics, relevance and discourse. Every nahu behavior found in the corpus will be given careful attention and analyzed and this includes forms or patterns that were previously considered to violate the rules of the Malay language. This book does not describe all aspects of knowing the Malay language and the focus is only given to the aspects of knowing that are considered problematic that cause questions and confusion for users of the Malay language. Problematic knowledge is knowledge that shows a contradiction between prescribed rules and practical use. Every aspect of knowledge that is identified as problematic will be thoroughly and deeply examined.
