Description
Summary:The University and University College Act 1971 was enacted to control the actions of university students in order to strengthen the government's power. The student movement in this country once sued the government around the 1960s and early 1970s. At that time, students who were active were looking for patterns and themes for their struggle by acting as community spokespeople and pressure groups. Students, Politics and Law look at the extent to which the University and University College Act (AUKU) 1971 left an impact on current students and their acceptance of this act. Apkah AUKU has crippled the university culture that previously had solidarity in student activities. Is this act also responsible for creating a culture of fear among students so that they are less sensitive to the environment, fail to be spokespeople for the community and cause the aridity of campus political activities.
