Semangat Chandan: Journeys of Contemporary Artists from the Land of Grace is an exhibition celebrating twenty one contemporary Perak-born artists who have travelled far and wide and have returned with their own unique perspectives, aspirations, experiences, philosophies in life and culture. Despite the evident theme of 'Perak', Semangat Chandan should not be seen as a literal and parochial representation of the state. Instead, the exhibition is aimed to epitomize a point of return by the participating artists to a shared sense of belonging and origin, which is culturally and spiritually-rooted.
