 The General Orders of Chapter A Appointment and Promotion which have been approved by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong as General Orders of Chapter A to be used in place of the old General Orders of Chapter A which were issued on July 1st, 1958. 2. The effective date of the new Chapter A General Order is 1st May, 1973. From this effective date all matters relating to appointment and promotion will be dealt with in accordance with the relevant provisions in the Chapter A General Orders. new. 3. Notwithstanding the different provisions in the new General Orders with the General Orders of 1958, all decisions have been made by the Public Service Commission or the Public Service Department before 1st May. 1973 under the General Orders of 1958 will continue in force. Appeals on any matter decided before 1st May. 1973 with a view to obtaining new benefits under these General Orders 1973 will not be entertained. Where there are still appeals made before 1st May, 1973 but not decided until 1st May, 1973, will be decided in accordance with the relevant provisions in the General Orders of 1958 as if the new General Orders has not been enforced. 4. Except as per the exceptions stated in paragraph 3 above, the entire General Orders of Chapter A Appointments and Promotions, issued in 1958, are hereby revoked from the date of 1st May, 1973.
