 Sit down design now! Man has always tried to design objects to sit on in order to improve their comfort. There are many ways to sit. Beyond the comfort and functionality of the chair, the armchair, the sofa ... the human being has sought to give these objects new forms to improve their aesthetics and functionality. The objects to sit, lie down or relax have been perhaps the most worked objects from the point of view of design. The industrial revolution has opened new creative tracks thanks to the appearance of plastic materials and new manufacturing processes and since then, it seems that stools, chairs, armchairs and sofas have not stopped mutating, offering us an infinity of formal responses. Some of these objects are, today, design classics, such as the "chaise longue" by Le Corbusier, the "Thonet" chair, or the "Barcelona chair" by Mies Van Der Rohe, and they are the cover of the classics and now widely viewed industrial design books.
